I love comedy (if that wasn’t clear to you already) and I recommend getting tickets to Kyle Kinane’s show at the Ballroom with Shane Torres and Jerry Morgan. I’ve seen Kyle perform a ton in Los Angeles, and I’m excited to see he’s traveling around hitting up smaller venues. The even isn’t happening until next Thursday, January 22, but your “Do This Today” activity is buying your ticket today before they sell out! Tickets are $15 (a steal for CT comedy) and the show starts at 8p. I have my ticket, do you have yours?!

It’s a SNOW DAY! Well for me it was more of a 90 minute delay. Just made it into Meyer Wire after working at home for a few hours. This should all (hopefully) be cleared up in the next few hours. Tonight I’m going into NYC to see Patton Oswalt perform at Carnegie Hall! It’s a comedy present to myself and a test to see how I can handle a Friday night, afterwork trip into NYC to see comedy. I’ll get home pretty late tonight and spend the rest of the weekend assembling furniture and getting settled in the new apartment.
Speaking of apartments in New Haven and getting settled in, your “DO This Today”/”Weekend Guide” will be checking out places on Strange Ways list of top shops/venues/bars in New Haven. He’s been in New Haven for a year now, and has assembled his New Haven hit-list for newbies, and I am very appreciative of this list! Can’t wait to check out all these places. Spend your weekend staying warm and exploring! Be sure to hashtag your photos #discoverHVN so everyone can find your photos.
I’ve gotta get crunching on Meyer Wire’s new website (you heard me right!), so I’ll check back in with you on Monday. Have a fabulous weekend! I’ll leave you with my desk window view below.
