Do This Today: Buy Ticket to Comedy for the Holidays

Sadly, Comedy Bang Bang’s Christmas Pageant is no longer (I’m still sad about that). Wipe those tears away and make your “Do This Today” buying a ticket to Loud Village’s Comedy For the Holidays! The show is at the Troubador (great venue- not too big, not too small), it’s only $15 in advance (so cheap!), and it’s taking place on Tuesday December 17th. To clarify, the show is NOT tonight, but you should get your ticket today because it will probably sell out quick.

Who will be there? Um, everyone. Pete Holmes, Rob Delaney, Paul Scheer, Eric Andre, Brett Gelman, The Birthday Boys, Howard Kremer, Taylor Williamson, Emily Maya Mills, Joe Sib and hosted by Jeremy Burke.

Event: Loud Village presents Comedy for the Holidays (event link)
Location: Troubadour, 9081 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069
Time: 8pm doors
Cost: $15 advance, $17 at the door (get tickets here)

You Made It Weird with Pete Holmes 7/8/13

I hit up the Troubadour this past Monday to see Pete Holmes’ live podcast taping of “You Made It Weird”. This is all great practice for his up and coming show following Conan on TBS, The Midnight Show with Pete Holmes, where he interviews celebrities.

I’m excited to share these photos with you, but I’m going to leave off the show jokes/details so you check out the podcast when it airs 😉

Pete1

This was my first time checking out the Troubadour, which is normally a music venue. Parking was tricky (I found street parking, but was technically not in West Hollywood).

Pete2

My friends and I had a decent spot in line, so we were able to snag seating on the first level (they brought in folding chairs for the show). Pete Holmes came out to introduce the podcast.

Pete3

Pete4

First he brought out his sidekick, Chris Thayer, who I unfortunately didn’t have a great view of. He’s a comedian who often tours with Pete.

Pete5

The first guest was the one I was most excited about seeing, John Mulaney (SNL). He was recently picked as the #1 sexiest comedian and I must agree he’s easy on the eyes. He recently got engaged and we get to hear the funny stories about buying the ring and how they got engagement. We also heard some potential exciting news about his pilot/tv show (you’ll have to check the podcast to hear the details!).

Pete6

Up next was Jason Mantzoukas (The League) where I learned that he wears the same outfit every day. There’s even a twitter account for it.

Pete7

Sarah Silverman (Sarah Silverman Show, duh) came out next and got an awesome shot of a woman sitting front row who was napping… repeatedly.

Pete8

This was a VERY large show (lots of guests) so the stage was filling up as Kurt Braunohler (Bunk) took the stage. We got to hear a ‘shrooms story. He’s got a new cd out folks: How Do I Land?

Pete9

Pete10

After Kurt, Rob Huebel (Children’s Hospital) came out. He talked a lot about his family and with so many comedians on stage, every one chimed in which was fun.

Pete11

Last on the filled stage was Anthony Jeselnik. Season 2 of his show (the Jeselnik Offensive) airs Tuesdays at 10:30 on Comedy Central.

Pete12

Pete13

What a packed stage! So many headlining comedians in one place! Be sure to check out the podcast when it airs HERE at Earwolf and you can subscribe FREE on itunes HERE.
