Fourth of July Events Around LA

I’m going to be spending the next several days on a stay-cation with some friends by the beach. I hate to leave you for this brief hiatus, but “Do This Today” will be on hold. Instead I’m giving you this activities packed list for fun was to celebrate the Fourth of July in Los Angeles tomorrow.

DowntownGrand Park 4th of July Block Party! Pack up a picnic, get the family together and head downtown starting at 2pm, this free event should be fun. KCRW will be there spinning tunes, there will be a poetry slam, food trucks, more live music and of course fireworks.

Pasadena: AmericaFest is happening at the Rosebowl in Pasadena from 10am-9:30pm for $13 a person (parking is $20, so carpool or check out public transportation to save some $$). During the day there will be live TNT motorcycle stunts, a live performance by the Mariachi Divas and Kenny G leading up to their firework display.

Hollywood: Bob Eubanks (Newlywed Game) is hosting a game show called America’s Greatest Game Shows daily at the Madame Tussauds in Hollywood with a 75 minute live show which will include 42 contestants who can all win prizes. Everyone has a chance to win! They do a show at 1p and 4pm. Tickets are $35, but you could win a lot!

South LAExposition Park will be having a 4th celebrations starting at noon with fireworks happening at 9pm. It’ll be $10 per car before 5p, free after 5. The fun will be on Christmas Tree Lane. The California African American Museum nearby will also be having events all day, so maybe stop into this on the way.

The West Side: Marina Del Rey will have ocean side fireworks going off at 9pm (20 min show) with the best viewpoints being from Fisherman’s Village, Burton Chace PArk and Mother’s Beach. Read HERE for all the specifics.

Redondo Beach: There will be events here all day like paddle board racing, music, a kids parade, and of course, fireworks.
