This past week I hit up my favorite new comedy show, Hot Tub, at the Virgil. It’s such a great time, every time I go. This weeks show did not disappoint. Also the Virgil offers sweet $6 cocktails for happy hour.
Kristen wasn’t there for the night (since she is off shooting a funny pilot with several other funny ladies), but Kurt Braunohler handled it well.
Kurt told hilarious stories, one specifically about how he got his agent.
Emily Heller was up next. As my friend Sommer put it, you just want to be her friend and hang out with her. She was very funny and talked about her time traveling in Israel.
Nate Bargatze (NYC based) was up next. He killed me with some of his jokes. I was choking I was laughing so hard.
Kara Klenk (another NYC based comedian) came up next. Very funny stuff!
Kurt came back up and told the story of his time working on a (very mean) prank tv show, which really came full circle for him.
Sean Patton was next. So good.
Last up, Reggie Watts. He’s always excellent and his music is both funny and catchy. I always want to dance when I see him perform. He’s so freaking talented and makes it look so effortless. He’s a pro.
