Sunday Pep Talk

I was hoping to be able to do it, but instead I’m about to cross something off my resolution list: Yoga. I told myself I had to take at least 1 Yoga class in 2012, and I’m about to do that at a free class in Sherman Oaks at Corepower Yoga. Hopefully I love it and it’ll become one of my new hobbies, and even if I end up hating it at least I was open to it and gave it a try. I’m bad with group exercises classes, so hopefully this will go better than I’m anticipating.

I also shared the photo above because, I’m not sure if you can tell, but I’ve been in a bit of a funk lately. I’m lacking drive, energy, and motivation. It is what it is, and I’m working hard to get out of it. Only you can really pull yourself out. I bought the book above, The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin, because it was recommended to me by a friend. It sounds quite similar to my 2011 year, and I figure anything to help motivate me out of this slump would be good. That, and my Real Simple (May) arrived 🙂 I’ll let you know how they both turn out.

I’m off to a pre-yoga walk, then yoga, then the gym for a 5k, then collapsing into my bed.
